The application is being considered and determined by the Metro East Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP). This Metro East JDAP meeting has been scheduled for 15 June 2018 at the City of Kalamunda at 11:00am.

BACKGROUND
11 August 2017
Proposal for Development Application, Demolition of Existing dwelling, proposed Tourism Uses including Accommodation (Chalets), Café (Restaurant) and Micro Distillery (Brewery) – Lot 42 (116) Union Road, Carmel WA (DA17/0341)The proposal received related to a similar application lodged with the City in February 2017 which did not proceed to determination given that the application was withdrawn by the applicant. The key changes that have been made to the proposal are as follows:
- The reception centre has been removed from the proposal.
- The number of chalets have been reduced to 14 and relocated to a more central location of the site.
The applicant elected to have the new application considered and determined by the Metro East Joint Development Assessment Panel. Information regarding this process can be found at www.planning.wa.gov.au/Development-Assessment-Panels.aspx

Notice given that the Local Government of the City of Kalamunda had received an application for the purpose of developing a Tourism development incorporating the demolition of the existing dwelling, and construction of Chalets(15), Café (Restaurant), Micro Distillery (Brewery), Managers Residence and Receptions Centre at Lot 42 – 116 Union Road, Carmel.
