In 2019 the City engaged consultants to work with the community and stakeholders to better understand current and emerging needs for a modern aquatic facility in the Region.

The consultation recognised the City’s existing aquatic facility - Kalamunda Water Park - has been an iconic and much-loved venue for more than 50 years however, it is no longer considered a contemporary aquatic facility meeting the changing needs of our community. This posed the question - what’s next?

More than 600 people provided feedback on location, amenity and accessibility via targeted community workshops, meetings and surveys.

This engagement has resulted in the creation of a draft Business Case For a New Aquatic Facility. The Business Case identifies a range of options and details two preferred options - Option 1A and Option 2B.

To ensure we get targeted and meaningful feedback - please read the draft Business Case For a New Aquatic Facility available from the document library prior to commenting.
