Reopening Facilities and Resuming Permanent User Bookings
The City of Kalamunda Recovery Management Team has been working hard behind the scenes with Phase 2 delivering a revision in operations for the City’s facilities.
Following the recent ease of restrictions for indoor gatherings of up to 20 people, the City of Kalamunda is enabling the commencement of a limited number of bookings at some of our facilities. All bookings will need to maintain the regulations of 4 metres square per patron.
A new Condition of Hire will be introduced for booking the City’s community facilities as we introduce new cleaning and record management practices in ensuring our community safety. All hirers will need to read and sign the document before returning to facilitiesbookings@kalamunda.wa.gov.au prior to bookings commencing.
We note that limits on numbers will restrict bookings, and acknowledge many groups are still awaiting Phase 3 easing of restrictions and operating in a cautious manner to your return. As previously stated no fees will be charged for any bookings that are not taking place due to COVID-19.
The State Government four-phase roadmap will help get Western Australians back to work safely and begin the process of restarting the State’s economy. It has been developed in conjunction with the National Cabinet principles and is based on the best health advice for WA. Details on the easing of restrictions are available from the State Government: https://www.wa.gov.au/government/covid-19-coronavirus
Businesses, sporting and community groups across Western Australia need to comply with conditions outlined in the COVID Safety Guidelines and prepare a COVID Safety Plan before they re-open, to protect staff and the community. The City is on hand to assist any businesses or groups with questions and encourages owners to call 9257 9999 or email enquiries@kalamunda.wa.gov.au for assistance.
The City’s response to Phase 3 will be based on the Chief Health Officer’s advice, taking into account infection rates across WA. It is expected to be implemented about 4 weeks from the start of Phase 2.
