The City of Kalamunda is seeking nominations for the Kalamunda Arts Advisory Committee (KAAC).
The City of Kalamunda recognises that the Arts contribute to the overall wellbeing and liveability of a community. By incorporating arts into planning and urban design it provides an opportunity to provide a cohesive vision and celebrate the City’s rich heritage.
The KAAC purpose is to provide information and advice about current and emerging arts related matters to City of Kalamunda Council for the purpose of decision-making and planning.
The City is currently seeking a total of four to six (4-6) Community Representatives residing in the District. Members must have knowledge, interest or have worked in the arts industry.
The City is currently seeking nominations to fill the following positions:
Four - Six (4-6) members Community Representatives residing in the district
One (1) Elected Member
Objectives are:
Assist the City in its development of strategies, actions, and plans to contribute to well-being, liveability and economy of the community
Provide the City with advice and feedback regarding community engagement activities undertaken by the City in this area.
Upon request by the City, undertake specific investigations, reviews of items related to:
The Public Art Master Plan
The Arts Strategy
Identify Arts related collaborations and strategies to maximise participation by the community and opportunities to create and engage with diverse Arts activities.
Act as Champions within the Community for City initiatives in the Arts area.
Term of Appointment: up to 2 years
