What is the objective of this project?
The City of Kalamunda's key objective is to build a connected community, which is healthy, vibrant and inclusive. Connected communities contain a diverse range of physical, human, social and economic capital. Working together, connecting with each other, to the place in which we live, to the spaces in which we work and play is vital to build a connected and strong community.
Why is this important?
Connected communities are resilient and empowered communities. Communities such as this are healthier, happier and safer. They also recover quicker when impacted by disaster, working together to care for, rebuild and reopen their community. This generates economic and social benefits to the community of the City of Kalamunda.
