The City has been awarded a $181,620 grant as part of the National Black Spot Program to improve the safety of the Kalamunda Road / Newburn Road / Chipping Drive intersection in High Wycombe.
The funding covers works associated with improvements to the roundabout entry and exits, with a focus on improving entry deflection and hence reducing speed on approach to the roundabout.
The City is seeking your input on whether you would like to see these upgrades implemented.
We kindly request you complete all parts of this survey, which should take about 2 minutes. If you have any questions about the survey, or would like any further information, please contact us at 9257 9999 or enquiries@kalamunda.wa.gov.au or visit our FAQ at engage.kalamunda.wa.gov.au.

Outcomes Summary
The City of Kalamunda would like to thank road users, residents and businesses for taking the time to complete our survey on the proposed safety upgrades to the Kalamunda Road/Newburn Road/Chipping Drive intersection in High Wycombe.
Community feedback indicated that the majority of survey participants (65%) would like to see the proposed upgrades implemented.
Following community consultation, Council in mid-2018 endorsed the following upgrades:
Installation of pre-deflection nibs on Kalamunda Road (traffic calming measures)
Reconfiguration of lanes (including removal of dedicated right hand turn on Kalamunda Road, heading east)
The works are fully funded by the National Black Spot Program and are scheduled to commence in April 2019 and will take approximately six weeks to complete.
