Local Planning Policy Omnibus Amendment 2023

Outcome

The proposed amendments were advertised for public comment on 22 September 2023 and closed 13 October 2023. During this advertising period, City received no submissions relating to the proposed amendments. 

At the Ordinary Council Meeting on 12 December 2023, Council resolved to ADOPT the revised Local Planning Policies as provided in attachment 2-5: 

1. Local Planning Policy 10 – Family Day Care and Childcare Premises; 
2. Local Planning Policy 12 – Places of Worship; 
3. Local Planning Policy 17 – Planning Administration; and
4. Local Planning Policy 25 – Interim Development Contribution Arrangements. - Interim Development

Background

At the Ordinary Council Meeting of 22 August 2023, Council resolved to adopt the Local Planning Policy Omnibus Amendment to the following existing Local Planning Policies for the purpose of advertising:

• Local Planning Policy 10 – Family Day Care and Childcare Premises
• Local Planning Policy 12 – Places of Worship
• Local Planning Policy 17 – Planning Administration; and
• Local Planning Policy 25 – Interim Development Contribution Arrangements.

The modified policies will ensure that the City of Kalamunda has an up-to-date objective-based framework which streamlines the assessment of development applications.
