Thanks for sharing your feedback! The comment period has now closed.
The draft Local Structure Plan for the Residential Precinct of the Forrestfield North redevelopment is now complete and open for public comment.
Background:
In 2014, the State Government confirmed the Forrestfield-Airport Link project, inclusive of a new rail line to Perth Airport and a train station in Forrestfield North near High Wycombe. In September 2015, the City of Kalamunda adopted a District Structure Plan, which set a vision and planning framework for development surrounding the future railway station in Forrestfield North.
In mid-2017, the City of Kalamunda sought community feedback to help guide the development of more detailed plans (also known as Local Structure Plans) for three key spaces; Forrestfield Station Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Precinct, the Forrestfield North Activity Centre Precinct, and the Forrestfield North Residential Precinct. There was a large volume of interest from the community, with input from over 400 residents.
Development of the draft Local Structure Plan for the Forrestfield North Residential Precinct is now complete and open for public comment. A copy of the plan can be found on the attachments section of this page.
Key features of the plan include medium-high density residential zonings from R60 to R100, new road connections, local open space and drainage reserves, a community hub and primary school. The plan also supports the retention of land for conservation, in accordance with the requirements from State Government environmental agencies.
