    Adoption for Public Advertising

    At the Ordinary Council Meeting (OCM) held 27 August 2019, Council resolved to:

    “That Council ADOPT draft Local Planning Policy 25 – Interim Development Contribution Arrangements for the purpose of public advertising for a period not less than 21 days via the following methods:

    • Notice on the City’s website and social media platform;
    • Local newspaper advertisement;
    • A notice sent to landowners within the draft Development Contribution Arrangement for Maddington Kenwick Strategic Employment Area; and
    • Display of documents at the Administration Centre.”

    The Local Planning Policy No. 25: Interim Development Contributions (LPP25) seeks to guide the preparation of Interim Development Contribution Arrangements (IDCA) within the City of Kalamunda. IDCAs are created to provide landowners with the flexibility of proceeding with subdivision and/or development prior to the finalisation of a Development Contribution Area (DCA).

    Council at its Ordinary Meeting held on the 25th of June 2019 resolved to adopt Draft Local Planning Policy 23 – Retaining Walls & Fill of Landfor the purpose of public advertising.

    The draft Policy has been prepared to provide an objective-based framework to streamline the assessment of development applications for retaining walls and the filling of land. The draft Policy will implement measures that allow for landowners to alter the topography of their property in manner that maintains the amenity and character of the area

    P-DEV 48: Extensions of Approvals, Refunding, Waiving, and Reducing Planning and Building Fees policy

    Council at its Ordinary Meeting held on 18 December 2018 resolved to adopt the revised P-DEV 48: Extensions of Approvals, Refunding, Waiving, and Reducing Planning and Building Fees policy pursuant to Clause 5(2) of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Scheme) Regulations 2015.

    The Policy has been reviewed and revised with the purpose of ensuring all decisions with respect to requests for refunds are appropriately documented. Part 3 "Refund of Planning Fees" has been amended to reference the process where development applications are submitted to the City but do not require planning approval.

    P-DEV 64: Requirements for Local Planning Scheme Amendments

    Council at its Ordinary Meeting held on 18 December 2018 resolved to adopt the Local Planning Policy: P-DEV 64: Requirements for Local Planning Scheme Amendments, pursuant to Clause 4(3)(b)(i) and Clause 4 (4) of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Scheme) Regulations 2015.

    Council at its Ordinary Meeting held 23 October 2018 resolved to adopt the draft Local Planning Policy P-DEV 65: Heritage Area – Welshpool Road East – Avenue of Lemon Scented Gums for the purpose of advertising.

    The purpose of the draft Policy is to provide guidance for development within the area of the lemon scented gums located on Welshpool Road East, and details the procedures for making applications for development approval within the area.

    Alternatively, the draft policy can also be viewed at the City of Kalamunda Administration, 2 Railway Road, Kalamunda during office hours.
