Planning and Development Act 2005
The City of Kalamunda has received an application for a Local Development Plan (LDP) at Lot 6 (287) Hale Road, Wattle Grove. Prior to considering the application, it is council policy to give landowners the opportunity to comment.
A local development plan is a planning tool used to provide alternative site-specific design control measures to those prescribed under the Residential Design Codes (R-Codes), for matters relating to urban design, overall built form, access ands landscaping. In this instance the Local Development Plan will be determined by the Western Australian Planning Commission as it varies provisions of the R-Codes.
In this instance the LDP stipulates the following requirements:
Minimum Open Space and Outdoor Living Requirements;
Setbacks of Garages and Vehicular access;
Street Setbacks
Lot Boundary setbacks;
Landscaping Standards
Fencing Standards
A copy of the Local Development Plan is available for consideration via the document library and a hard copy is available at the City’s Libraries.
Alternatively, the documentation can be viewed at the City of Kalamunda Administration Centre located at 2 Railway Road, Kalamunda during office business hours. Further information can be obtained by contacting the Planning Department on 9257 9876.
