A significant development application has been submitted to the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) under Part 17 of the Planning and Development Act 2005. This proposal is for a residential aged care facility at 20 Champion Road, Lesmurdie.

The application outlines plans for a purpose-built facility adjacent to the existing Sunshine Park Lifestyle Village, both to be operated by Roshana Care Group, Lesmurdie.

Key features of the proposed development include:

  • 81 beds, with 75 single bedrooms and six double bedrooms over three levels.
  • A redesigned shared parking area with Sunshine Park, offering 64 car bays, two mini-bus parking bays, and one ambulance bay.
  • A ground-floor café in the entrance foyer for residents and visitors.

This $21 million development application, submitted by Hidding Urban Planning on behalf of Roshana Care Group, is now open for public comment. Feedback can be provided until 20 January 2025.
