Proposed One-Way Traffic Treatment
The City of Kalamunda has developed several options to address safety issues on Swindells Lane between Railway Road and Burt Road in Kalamunda. The purpose of the proposed one-way system from the south-east terminus at Railway Road to the north-west at Burt Street is to address road safety, way finding and manoeuvring along this section of road.
Proposed changes to the road environment include the following elements (as shown on the attached plan):
*Redesignation of the road as one-way only from south-eastern boundary of 63A Canning Road to Burt Street in a south-east to north-west direction.
*The section of road between the south-eastern terminus at Railway Road and south-eastern boundary of 63A Canning Road will remain two-way.
New line marking and signage denoting the proposed one-way system along Swindells Lane
One-way line marking on Secrett Lane to allow for west-east movements only along the southern carriageway and east-west movements only along the northern carriageway between Canning Road and Swindells Lane.
Full sealing of Swindells Lane between Railway Road and Burt Street.
Proposed changes are available for consideration via the image or document library.
Alternatively, the documentation can be viewed at the City of Kalamunda Administration Centre located at 2 Railway Road, Kalamunda during office during business hours.
