Outcome
The draft Plan was finalised based on community feedback and will be presented to the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Advisory Committee for endorsement to Council for adoption in late 2020. At the 27 October 2020 Ordinary Council Meeting the Council resolved to adopt the Community Safety & Crime Prevention Plan 2020 – 2025.
In July 2019 the City of Kalamunda commenced the process of developing its Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan for 2019-2024 which will build on the City’s existing community safety activities and will supersede the previous Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan 2013-2018. Part of this process sought community feedback to identify the current perceptions of safety and crime in the City which guided the development of the draft Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan.
The draft Plan was advertised for public comment from 21 February to 13 March 2020.
Engagement Activities & Promotion
Residents were able to give their feedback via a feedback form which was made available online via the City's engagement platform and all City locations (Administration, libraries and recreation centres). The survey was also promoted on the City's social media platforms and in the local newspaper.
