Consultation has concluded
Managing our income and expenses, to best support our community.
The City is seeking community feedback on the current Pensioner discounts that we provide for eligible customers regarding their Annual Waste Charges.
Residential Waste Charges cover the cost of everything to do with Waste, for example emptying household recycling bins and general waste bins, unlimited access to the Walliston Transfer Station for disposal of green waste, up to three (3) skip bins per year, etc.
Note:
General rate payers currently incur a Waste Charge of $572.00 and Pensioners have a reduced rate of $342.00 (ie. a $230 rebate). This rebate adds $35 to the general residential waste charge.
Eligible pensioners also qualify for a State funded concession on Rates*.
