Project Updates

Construction of the Men’s Shed continues to progress well. All sheeting on the shed has been fitted and external doors are now in place.

Tenders have now been awarded for all projects other than Tennis and Bowls, with the City and Clubs working together to revise options and priorities based on available budget and club needs.

Construction has begun on the Men's Shed. Tenders are out for all other deliverables.

The design and build contract for the Men's Shed has been awarded to Brausch Construction, with works set to commence in early 2025. Tenders are currently open for the Forrestfield United project, with Tenders for the AFL/Little Athletics, Rugby League, Tennis Club, and Bowls facilities to be released by end 2024.

The City of Kalamunda marked the beginning of construction on the much-anticipated new Foothills Men’s Shed with a ceremonial sod-turning event at Hartfield Park on Monday, 16 September 2024.

Concept design of the new Foothills Men's Shed is complete. High level layouts of the new facility are identified and the design will progress to the schematic design.

Design architects Caribner Architects appointed to lead the design for Hartfield Park Stage 2. The project will start with the concept design of the Foothills Men's Shed.

City secures Lotterywest funding of $290,000 for the Foothills Men's Shed.

Council endorses the Hartfield Park Master Plan (HPMP) Stage 2 funding strategy at the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 18 April 2023.

Federal Government commits $5.4 million to the HPMP Stage 2 project, bringing the total funding allocation for the plan to $8.06 million
